I was suffering from clogged ducts and a cracked nipple. My baby was not gaining weight. Normally my breasts adjust to breastfeeding within 10-14 days. This time I was 3 weeks in and I couldn’t get the crack to heal or my duct to stop clogging. I called Christy as a last ditch effort, hoping she could help breastfeeding be a more enjoyable experience. She was calm and sweet. She made the process very comfortable and relaxing. She quickly offered some easy remedies to heal the crack. I was able to have them heal within a couple days. She went over my baby’s history and noted that he was being supplemented to help gain weight, although I produced a good amount of milk. She recognized my baby favored turning to one side and that he was not getting the hind milk. She gave me suggestions to help avoid clogged ducts, by using a different position. As a result baby started eating more effeciently and started putting on weight. I was able to quit supplementing and have the breastfeeding experience I wanted.
